Much of the fallout from November’s elections focused on Republicans’ dominance in congressional races, but the GOP also starts 2015 in a strong position at the state level. The party holds 56 percent of all state legislative seats and nearly two-thirds of governorships. That could have significant policy implications for marijuana, taxes, abortion, school testing and other issues.
