Ticked off! @Florida roads

-

Recently, while waiting

in the cold, surgery waiting room at Celebration Hospital, there were three loud women also waiting. They discovered a nice cabinet filled with homemade, crocheted blankets, for use by the families waiting. The women brought them out to use while waiting, but when it was time to leave they took all the blankets with them. It was such a sad sight to witness. Some loving hands spent a great deal of time generously making those blankets for people to share and those women stole them all.

I’m ticked at all the rain is ruining the Daytona 500 race. Then again, just jump on I-4, or any Florida road, and be in the race. Same speeds, less rules enforced, same action and you are in it! Maybe we can get ex

Trooper Steve to sing the anthem. Or a better anthem for our Florida roads…Taps.

I’m ticked off that the Forest Service continues to conduct “Controlled Burns” destroying our forests and habitat for hundreds of birds and small animals. They’re motto must be, “If it won’t catch on fire accidentally just set that sucker on fire.”

I get so ticked off when I purchase skillet meals at the grocery store, and they do not look like the picture on the packaging! For example, the picture on the shrimp and pasta meal shows nice broccoli florets and lots of shrimp but when you open it and pour it in the skillet there are only 4-5 shrimp and some shredded broccoli in reality! I had to add a bag of shrimp and broccoli florets to make it look like the picture and have enough to satisfy the family, which costs more!

The flip side

Thank you to Tom MacCubbin, The Plant Doctor, who over the last 50 years has helped thousands of people learn how to put the right plant in the right place by using Florida-Friendly Landscaping and helping people understand their plant problems. He has always been so gracious and kind.
