Tickets now on sale for Halloween Horror Nights

- By Dewayne Bevil

All kinds of tickets are now on sale for Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2019. Buyers have several options, including singlenight admission, multiday tickets and an offer that allows admission for every single night of the intense, haunted-house-driven event at Universal Studios theme park.

The prices vary with the dates. Halloween Horror Nights runs for 41 select nights between Sept. 6 and Nov. 2.

The base, one-night price, when purchased at the theme-park gate, is $119.99. However, purchasing online knocks the onenight price down to between $66.99 and $93.99, depending on the date. Generally, weekends are the most expensive choice, but there are curious variances. For instance, Oct. 16 is more expensive than Oct. 31 and about the same as Nov. 2. But the last Sunday in September is $1 cheaper than the previous three Sundays.

There are multiple multinight packages, including the Rush of Fear Pass, Frequent Fear Pass, Frequent Fear Plus Pass and the whopping Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass. And each of those have an optional Express Pass add on that gives the holder “skip the line” powers at the haunted house mazes.

Rush of Fear covers the first 17 nights of the event, ending on Sept. 29. Price is $109.99 (with HHN Pass: $334.99).

Note: These are prices for online advance purchases.

Frequent Fear Pass works on 26 nights, including every Sunday-throughThursday span, plus the first two weekends and the final Friday. That’s $119.99 ($374.99 with Express Pass).

Frequent Fear Pass Plus is for 34 select nights – it just isn’t good on Saturdays until the final HHN Saturday. The price is $139.99 ($459.99 with Express Pass).

Finally, the Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass works every night of the event, includes free regular parking after 5 p.m. on event nights. UFFP costs $259.99 … or, with Express Pass, it’s $679.99.

But wait, there’s more. There are discounts for annual passholders for Halloween Horror Nights, and there’s a number of hotelticket combo packages, some with regular theme park tickets incorporated.

Halloween Horror Nights is an after-hours, extra-ticket event; a regular day ticket to Universal Studios theme park does not include the HHN activities. Horror Nights will include 10 haunted houses and five scare zones. Universal says it’s not recommended for children under the age of 13.
