WEST FORK — Ashleigh Patrish Gass,

-

36, born July 12, 1984, to parents Kelly and Linda Gass in Eau Claire, Wis., joined those sleeping in death on Jan. 9, 2021.

Ashleigh was absolutely beautiful inside and out, a loving, generous, kind person with a dry sense of humor and the gift of wit to turn any situation into laughter. She will always be remembered by her captivating smile that filled every inch of any room she entered.

All her pictures are filled with that encompassing smile. Though all who really knew her realized that her smile hid a chasm of pain and suffering.

A more loyal friend could not be found. She was full of love and compassion and giving of herself until there was no more. She is finally safe in God’s book of remembrance where he will return that last breath she gave him, and she will live in a place where no more suffering and pain will exist.

Ashleigh often spoke of her desire to live in the place Jesus called “Paradise” at Luke 23:43, and believed in the promise God gave at Isaiah 25:8, “He (God) will

swallow up death forever and wipe every tear from ALL faces”.

Ashleigh is survived by the loves of her life, daughters Kennedy Gass and Kingston Gass of West Fork; fiance Bradley Fondren of Huntsville; brothers Jeremiah (JD) and wife Ciara Gass, Israel Gass, Zackary and wife Alysia Gass, all of West Fork, and Todd Roy and wife Rhonda of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; sisters Brittney and husband Derek Rush of Bella Vista, Cortney Atkinson and Lisa Jennings of Fayetteville, and Chanon and husband Ron Defelice of Hagerstown, Md. In addition, she loved 10 nephews and 10 nieces, aunts and uncles, and a large number of friends.

She was preceded in death grandparents William and Elise Wilburn of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Melvin and Pat Gass of Bloomer, Wis.

A memorial of her life will be available on Zoom due to the pandemic at a later date. A link to the service will be sent to all those she loved.
