FARMINGTON — James

Monroe Young, age 85, a resident of Farmington, Ark., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 23, 2018. He was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Weleetka, Okla., the son of E.M. and Ruby (Clenney) Young.

Monroe retired from Frito-Lay after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Summers Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and music director for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life and high school sweetheart Betty Jo Young, one daughter, Dorothy Ann Young, one grandson, Jeremy Young, one sister, Helen Leflet and one brother, Leon Young. Survivors include his wife Peggy Young; two children, Paul Young and wife Becky and Linda Springston and husband Gary; one sister, Shirley Wilson and husband Clarence; four grandchild­ren, Joel Paul Young and wife Tiffany, Kara Young and wife Stacy, Andrea Jo Stinson and husband John and Becca Springston; three great grandsons, Kreiger Wayne, Benjamin Jeremiah and Jase Monore; three step-grandchild­ren, Keith Fuller and wife Melissa, Megan Neal and husband Heath and Kim Pilgrim and husband Nick; one step-greatgrand­son, Caleb Pilgrim, three step-great-granddaugh­ters Teagan, Olivia, and Bria.

Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Summers Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Summers Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held. FAYETTEVIL­LE — Leslie

Dale Wright, 68, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., went to be with his Lord on April 21, 2018, following a lengthy illness. Dale was born to the late Leslie and Bernice Wright, on May 24, 1949, in Plainview, Texas.

In 1972 he married Linda (Dolan) Wright, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by Mary (Kelley) Wright.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and after discharge from the military service he had a paint and body shop in Fayettevil­le.

He is survived by two sons: Stephen Hamlin and wife Simara, of Cape Coral, Fla.; and Gregory Hamlin of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; two brothers: Ralph Wright and wife Linda of Lubbock, Texas, and Doug Wright and wife Pat of Lafayette, La. He is also survived by six grandchild­ren and two great grandchild­ren.

Dale was an active member of University Baptist Church of Fayettevil­le.

Funeral services will be at University Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 25, at noon with Pastor John Mueller officiatin­g. Services were under the direction of Moore’s Funeral Chapel. Condolence­s may be given online at www. mooresfune­ralchapel.com.

GRAVETTE — Willis

Self of Gravette, Ark., passed away April 19, 2018. LITTLE ROCK — Chris Paul Corley of Little Rock, Ark., died April 20, 2018, at the age of 60. Chris was born in Kansas City, Mo., on May 31, 1957, and grew up in Fort Smith and Little Rock. He graduated from Southside High School (Class of ‘75) in Fort Smith, and then attended the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le, where he studied business administra­tion and earned his bachelor’s degree. Before retiring he served as the president of Carco Rentals.

Chris was a gifted artist, an exceptiona­l drummer, and a car enthusiast. He also had a golden sense of humor. Most importantl­y, Chris will be remembered as a doting father, loyal son, and friend to many. Accordingl­y, Chris was endowed with the gentlest of spirits, always rooted for the underdog, and extended his love to both kin and stranger unreserved­ly.

Chris is survived by his children Harris, Jackman, and Bliss Corley and their mother Jane Corley; his mother Jean Wolfe Sizemore of Little Rock; father Carl D. Corley and wife Jacki “Geegaw” Corley of Fort Smith; brother Carl D. “Chip” Corley Jr. of Fort Smith; sister Deborah Corley of Annapolis, Md.; sister Elizabeth “Liz” Bryant of Portland, Ore.; brother Ben Sizemore and wife Allison Futeral of Oakland, Calif.; nieces and nephews Conrad, Nora, Emma, and Garrett Karsten, Colton and Mason Agee, and Hunter Corley, as well as many dear family members in Arkansas and across the country.

Private burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyteri­an Church of Fort Smith, Ark., on Wednesday April 25 at 11 a.m., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends following the Memorial service.

ROGERS — Eden Hope

Katt, 11, left this earth on April 20, 2018, in Little Rock, Ark.. Eden was born in Dallas, Texas, on Aug. 29, 2006.

Eden is survived by her parents, David and Ginger Katt, and her two siblings, Haiden and Hannah Katt. Eden was homeschool­ed, attended Calvary Tabernacle of Bentonvill­e, Ark., and loved all things old fashioned. Eden was a creative designer, writer, and friend to all who encountere­d her contagious personalit­y.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Calvary Tabernacle in Bentonvill­e. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at Calvary Tabernacle with Pastor Chantry Dean officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rogers.

ROGERS — Mr. Jack

William Tolmachoff, age 74, of Rogers, passed away Saturday, April 21 at Highlands of Northwest Arkansas in Rogers. He was born Sept. 1, 1943, in Phoenix, Ariz., to William and Anna Tolmachoff.

Mr. Tolmachoff was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Tolmachoff is survived by his wife, Cindy Tolmachoff, and four children, Kathy, Jack, Michael and Matthew, four grandchild­ren and a niece Barbara Salama.

Visitation for Mr. Tolmachoff will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 25 at the funeral home. SPRINGDALE —

Samuel “Max” Myers, 82, of Springdale, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Ripley, Okla., to Arlie Leo and Florence Pearl Blossom Myers.

Max was a very hard worker. In his younger years he worked in the oil fields with his father and brother. Later he worked for several years in both food services management, trucking, and lastly with his wife managing Virginia Myers Classic Homes. Max enjoyed fishing and crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Myers, whom he married July 25, 1965, in Tijuana, Mexico; four children, Alisha Cavett-Wright and husband Jimmy, Fawn Harp and husband Rodney, Dawn Bush and husband Terry, and Colton Myers; four grandchild­ren, Jason, Hilery, Karissa, Jared; eight great-grandchild­ren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, online guestbook at www.heritageof­nwa.com.

SPRINGDALE —

Tanner Thompson Shuck,

21, of Springdale passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le. He was born Aug. 15, 1996, in Springdale to Richard Lee and Tami Thompson Shuck.

Tanner was a member of First United Methodist Church of Springdale. He was an intern at Tyson Foods. He loved hunting, hiking, canoeing, working out and traveling and helping other people, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a junior at the University of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathe­r, Gene Thompson, one uncle, Rodney Wade Shuck, and his godparents, Frank and Mary O’Donnel.

Survivors include his parents, Richard Shuck and his wife Marsha of Tuttle, Okla. and Tami Strickland and husband Charles of Springdale; his grandparen­ts, Georgia Thompson of Springdale, Richard Raymond and Sue Nell Shuck of Jay, Okla.; Charles and Nell Strickland of Alpharetta, Ga., and Lonnie Easley and Louise Easley of Wyandotte, Okla.; two uncles, Steve Thompson and Ronnie Shuck, five aunts, Karen Thompson, Cheryl Duncan, Jennifer Strickland, Mary Alumbaugh and husband Garold, Sherrie Barnard and husband Bill and one sister Sidney Cameron of Tuttle, Okla., and several cousins.

Memorial services will be Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Springdale with Rev. David Freeman, Rev. Andrew Thompson and Rev. Judy Van Hoose officiatin­g.
