LAMAR — Hurchel E. Mays, 80, a resident of Lamar passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, in Clarksville. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at the First Pentecostal Church in Cowell under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville. OSCEOLA — Bradford Young Billings, age 54, died Sept. 6, 2017. ROGERS — Charles Gavan Duffy III, 74, of Rogers passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017. He was born June 3, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo., to the late Charles Gavan Duffy Jr. and Lucille Shannon Duffy.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserve before marrying Colleen Moran Duffy, the love of his life for 40 years who also proceeded him in death. Charles had a successful career in poultry sales before ‘retiring’ to part-time sales with Lowe’s in Rogers. He had a love of golf he shared with his sons, along with camping, boating and fishing. He was a lifelong Catholic and longtime member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church of Rogers.
Survivors include his sons, Charles “Gavan” Duffy IV (Jody) and Sean Duffy (Lisa), all of Rogers; three granddaughters, Ryan Schmuck (Ben) of Bentonville, Anna and Maggie Duffy of Rogers; two sisters, Pat Schranz (Skip) and Shannon Kammerer (Tim); one nephew, Anthony Kammerer; numerous extended family; business associates and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10 in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Sept. 11, noon at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1416 West Poplar Street in Rogers, with interment to follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

WESLEY — Steve Meierdiercks, age 64, of Wesley, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017. He was born Dec. 31, 1952, in Lynwood, Calif., to Robert and Virginia Cooke Meierdiercks.
He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Meierdiercks. He was a member of the Bonneville Salt Flats Southern California Timing Association.
He is survived by his father, Robert Meierdiercks of Fayetteville; one sister, Tami Sotorske of Elkins, Ark.; one brother, Robert Meierdiercks and his wife Dona of Pawleys Island, S.C.; two nieces, Sarah Sotorske of Elkins and Jennifer Skochin of Pawleys Island, S.C., and his nephew, Ryan Skochin of Pawleys Island, S.C.
