College’s marketing winner of 5 awards
The public relations and marketing team at Northwest Arkansas Community College recently received five Medallion Awards from District 4 of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.
The team received three silver awards: brochure/flier category for a flier titled “Nobody Likes Leftovers,” computer-generated illustration category for work titled “NWACC Enrollment Steps,” and communications success story category for multiple news releases and social media promotion of the “America’s Music” series.
The team received two bronze awards: in the postcard category for a card titled “Go Digital” and communications success story category for a news release, a YouTube video and media relations initiatives related to the national board exam results for graduates of the college’s physical therapist assistant program.
Graphic designer Justin Froning created the flier, computergenerated illustration and postcard with collaboration from the marketing team. The communications success story entries represented collaborative efforts of the public relations and marketing team that includes Froning, Steven Hinds, Rob Hanlon, Danielle Dotson, Rachel Lipe, Debbie Miller and Daniel Yeager. Former employee Chris Holtman also contributed to the communications projects.
The District 4 Medallion Awards were presented Sept. 30 in Oklahoma City. The awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges in District 4, which includes Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
