T. oockhill man charged with attempted rape

crank veager, 29, of eickory Lane, test oockhill, was charged with attempted rape, possessing instrument­s of crime and two counts of carrying firearms without a license, according to a Dec. 14 press release from Lehigh County District Attorney games Martin’s office.

The release relays the following allegation­s, taken from the affidavit of probable cause:

On Nov. 25, a saleswoman for Pulte eomes in rpper Macungie reported to Berks-Lehigh oegional Police a man came to her office and asked to see one of the model homes. She did not feel comfortabl­e with the man and told him to look at the house himself.

After the man spent about 45 minutes in the house, he returned to the office and said there was a water leak in the model house. ee insisted the woman look at the leak, but then left when a male co-worker entered the woman’s office.

The woman checked the model house and found no leak, but the bedroom curtains had been pulled shut and the lights turned off.

There were also numerous reports from other real estate agents of incidents involving a man matching the descriptio­n of the man in this case, leading to a joint investigat­ion with Pennsylvan­ia State Police.

During a search of veager’s truck and home, a knapsack was found with items including two handguns and ammunition, metal chain and duct tape. oealty brochures were also found in the truck. Drawings and writings detailing his plans were also found.

After arraignmen­t, veager’s bail was set at $500,000 and he was taken to Lehigh County Prison with a preliminar­y hearing scheduled for Dec. 21, according to the release.
