Mooch Adieu After ‘#!@ing’: A White House Rise & Fall
With the ouster of White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci, new Chief of Staff John Kelly is already earning his keep (“VaMooch,” Aug. 1).
What President Trump saw in The Mooch is beyond me, but Gen. Kelly has done his president and the nation an enormous service.
Let’s hope Trump realizes he’s dodged a bullet, and allows Kelly to continue to do what has to be done. Bob Hunt Hillsborough, NJ
Scaramucci’s removal from the White House is more than great news.
Hopefully, our federal government starts functioning again. Our nation has become an international embarrassment.
Scaramucci damaged the White House and the Trump administration.
I’m a Democrat, but I want Trump to succeed. His presidency can be saved if he rethinks not only his staff, but his policies. Paul Feiner Greenburgh How ironic that Scara- mucci’s title was communications director.
He sounded like a raving lunatic instead of a rational, dignified person. What an embarrassment to the United States. Brenda Nicholls Manhattan
Sen. Susan Collins from Maine couldn’t stomach Scaramucci‘s foul mouth and demeanor, saying it “wasn’t helpful.”
Well, I can’t stomach career, do-nothing politicians anymore.
Sometimes you need to fight fire with fire. Frank Asprea Brooklyn
Scaramucci struck me as a loose cannon, and that X-rated interview with The New Yorker was the death knell.
I think having Kelly as chief of staff will bring some order into the inner circle at the White House.
All the positive aspects of Trump’s first six months in office are being dwarfed by the turmoil.
Hopefully, with Kelly at the helm, the Trump ship will be on an even keel. Walter Murray Clearwater, Fla.
So the Mooch got the boot.
The White House under Trump is looking more and more like an insane asylum where the loonies are running the show. This show should be canceled. Gary Schwartz Fort Lee, NJ
