Police who released a video of a gunman suspected of gunning down a budding basketball star on a Bronx street said the fatal shooting appears to have been a case of mistaken identity.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday in the slaying of Jayden Goodridge, 21, who was walking in Mott Haven with his buddies Sunday evening when a shooter on an e-bike opened fire.

The three friends were outside St. Mary’s Park near E. 149th St. and Jackson Ave. when gunfire erupted.

Surveillance video shows the gunman riding by and shooting with his left hand. The video shows the gunman firing at least six shots before turning a corner.

Goodridge (photo) was hit in the stomach, and died the next day at Lincoln Hospital.

One of his friends was grazed on his lower lip, and refused medical attention at the scene. A third friend in the group was uninjured.

Cops said Goodridge had no arrest record, and neither did his two friends.

Families said the trio had no gang ties.

The man who was grazed in the lip, who is also 21, said they were on their way to visit another pal when the shooting started.

Friends and relatives described Goodridge as an upbeat, energetic athlete who thrived on making other people happy.

At just 5-feet-2, Goodridge was a standout basketball player with college athletic scholarship aspirations.

Goodridge lived with his family in Wakefield, and graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School.

Cops were asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
