ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

It’s NYC Homecoming Week, a celebration of the city’s comeback spanning all five boroughs! Friday in Queens, the It’s Time for Hip-Hop Concert starts at 4 p.m. at Forest Hills Stadium, and will carry on until 9:30 p.m. Delays are likely along 71st Ave., possibly affecting Queens Blvd., due to Station Square being closed to vehicles. Consider taking the E, M, F, or R trains to Forest Hills-71st Ave. or the LIRR to Forest Hills instead of driving.

On Sunday, 20,000 people will be riding in the 5 Boro Bike Tour starting at 7:30 a.m. The tour will begin at the Battery, with cyclists going northbound via Church St. The route then progresses up 6th Ave. to 59th St., before continuing via Central Park, Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd., 135th St, and Madison Ave. to the Bronx. The cyclists will return to Manhattan on 3rd Ave., head south on the FDR, and take the Queensboro to Queens. The route then loops around Astoria via 21st St. and Vernon Blvd., crosses the Pulaski into Brooklyn, proceeds south on McGuinness Blvd., Kent Ave., and Flushing Ave. before traversing Downtown Brooklyn, and then takes the BQE / Gowanus Expressway and Verrazzano to Staten Island. The tour will conclude with a ride down Bay St. to the finish festival at Empire Outlets.

On Saturday, the 8th Ave. Festival will be taking place from 42nd St. to 57th St., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Harlem Art Park will be hosting the AfriBembé Festival, which could impact 3rd Ave. and Lexington Ave. at 120th St.

Sunday, the Madison Ave. Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between 42nd St. and 56th St. The 31st St. Astoria Street Fair will take place between Ditmars Blvd. and 21st Ave., kicking off at 11 a.m. and continuing until 6 p.m.

The Twins will take on the Yankees in the Bronx this weekend, Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. The Liberty will host the Storm Friday at 7 p.m. and the Sparks Sunday at 2 p.m.

Friday at 11:45 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Manhattan-bound D trains will run via the N from Stillwell Ave. to 36th St. There will be no Manhattan-bound D service at Bay 50th St., 25th Ave., Bay Pkwy., 20th Ave., 18th Ave., 79th St., 71st St., 55th St., 50th St., Fort Hamilton Pkwy., and 9th Ave.
