- BY DAVID BOROFF AND KATE FELDMAN

An “extremely dangerous” MMA fighter accused of multiple murders who escaped from his jail transport van in Texas early Sunday has been recaptured, according to authorities.

Cedric Marks, known as “Spider-Man” in the ring, fled the vehicle in Conroe, about 40 miles north of Houston, still wearing an orange jumpsuit and restraints. Investigators found his shirt after he fled, according to ABC News.

After a nine-hour manhunt, Marks (photo) was recaptured with the help of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, Montgomery County Lt. Scott Spencer confirmed.

Marks was spotted hiding between two houses in the area, at which point a homeowner called police, according to KHOU.

Murder warrants were issued for Marks on Sunday in the deaths of former girlfriend Jenna Scott and her friend Michael Swearingin.

He was arrested in Michigan last month for allegedly breaking into the Temple, Texas, home of Scott, according to KCEN. Scott and Swearingin vanished last month and were found buried in a shallow grave in Oklahoma on Jan. 15.

“I believe he is a pathological liar. I believe he is a psychopath,” Scott said in a court document before she was murdered, according to KCEN.

Minnesota cops say Marks remains a person of interest in the 2009 disappearance of April Pease, according to the station. Marks and Pease have a child together and Pease, from Washington State, had accused him of domestic violence. Marks, 44, has served time in prison for robbery, burglary, harassment and weapons possession, according to KCEN. He was behind bars as far back as the 1990s.

The middleweight Marks has a career record of 31-27 according to the MMA website “Sherdog.”
