Bam-ilton! Star to rush back for Prez

-

LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA is not going to miss his shot.

The creator and star of Broadway smash “Hamilton” has changed his travel plans to make sure he gets to perform the title role for President Obama on the commanderin-chief’s second visit to the show.

When Obama checked out the historical hip-hop musical for the first time on July 18 while it was still in previews, Miranda let understudy Javier

Munoz take the stage so he could sit next to the Prez and make some last-minute tweaks before its debut on the Great White Way.

But we’re told Miranda (right) is going to considerable lengths to make sure he’s in costume to play the role for Obama when he attends the musical for the second time on Nov. 2. The performance will be part of a special Democratic Party fund-raiser on a night when the show is usually dark.

A source close to the production said the Tony-winning Miranda was due to be on the West Coast during the visit, but hurriedly changed his travel plans to makes sure he could perform. The actor usually has two nights off: when the theater is dark and when Munoz fills in once a week.

“Lin is indeed scheduled to do the show that night,” a spokesman for the runaway hit confirms.

The show, which tells the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, has become something of a First Family favorite. The President, who brought daughters Sasha and Malia to the Richard Rogers Theater the first time around, gave the performance a standing ovation. First Lady Michelle Obama has caught the show twice, the first time back in April while it was still off-Broadway at the Public Theater and then again last month in its new home in Times Square.

As if the presidential seal of approval wasn’t enough of an honor, we’re told that Miranda is also about to receive the greatest Broadway accolade of all: a caricature on the wall at Sardi’s.

“We don’t know how long he’s staying with the show and want to have this done,” Sardi’s managing partner Max Klimavicius tells Daily News theater critic Joe Dziemianowicz. “It’s being worked on.”

Miranda is the architect of the rap- and R&Binfused show that’s taken Broadway and the Billboard charts by storm, and won a Tony for “In the Heights” back in 2008.
