RESCUING BABIES FROM DANGER
Recently I’ve had recurrent dreams about saving babies from deadly disease, molestation, being homeless, car crashes and so on. These are random babies. In a recent dream, my childhood friend’s mom tried to get into a hospital I worked at but the guard wouldn’t let her in. She was crying, holding a baby that needed to see a cardiologist for what was wrong with its heart. When I took the baby from her I cried because I loved that baby so much. I took it to the doctor, and then awakened. Please decipher this dream.

Analysis: Dreams are personal entities that generally refer to the dreamer. As such, each baby you wish to save is yourself. The cardiologist — symbolic of the heart — reveals emotional issues. The maternal figure barred from entry has not been able to provide for you; needs have not been met. Taking the baby in tow allows you the necessary control to self-nurture and more importantly, to self love. There is nostalgia for the past and worries over loss of youth.
SEXY, BUT WITH A CATCH
I dreamt I was an attractive redheaded woman sitting down on a wooden chair in some backroom where men’s mouths watered as they ogled my gorgeous body. They said I was beautiful and sexy. Whilst sitting I started to examine myself. Everything was good except for the back of my head. I was bald back there and had an infected rash reddened with blood. What does this mean?

Analysis: The backroom — symbolic of repressed material in the unconscious mind — reveals physical transformation is wished for. Worries over aging and/or self-image not only come to the fore, they sit down on a wooden chair to be mollified by compliments from the crowd. In no small way, the dream strives for and attains a measure of personal assurance. Yet doubts remain. Self-scrutiny reveals baldness at the back: Something is missing from your past; positive selfperception is lacking.
