Yuba-sutter resident publishes book

-

The Inquirer's Bible is a simple and easy to read retelling of the Bible designed for the youth or adult who just doesn't know how to tackle that big, complicated, intimidating book we call The Bible.

“I was in high school,” says author/editor, Stephen P.

Souza, “and, out of curiosity, I pulled a dusty Bible off of the shelf, opened it to a random spot, and began to read. After ten minutes, I decided it was way beyond me. I put it away and didn't crack a Bible again for years. Decades later, after several of my adult students had asked me how to read the Bible, I remembered just how difficult it was to actually start reading the Bible. I decided to do something about it...”

Mr. Souza earned his Catechist certification from the Catholic Diocese of San Jose in 1986. Since then he has served as a seminar speaker and teacher of Christian doctrine to thousands of youths and adults. He is a published religion columnist for a general circulation newspaper and has authored numerous articles and papers on Christian subjects.

In The Inquirer's Bible, the timeless word of God has been re-woven into a seamless tapestry. It is true to the original; but condensed, chronological, and much easier to read.

The reader won't have to jump back and forth between books and verses to understand a certain principle; that has already been done in this translation, so it is simple and easily understood. It does not replace the traditional Bible but grounds the reader in Christian thought and the Biblical world.

In The Inquirer's Bible, the sacred writings are presented in a way that reveals the heart of the message of the entire Bible. That message is God's wooing of humanity. This loving courtship reads like an epic novel, the greatest romance. Any reader can just get comfortable, read, and discover.
