at No. 4 Ohio State, Rutgers 3: Dwayne Haskins Jr. threw four touchdown passes as the Buckeyes (2-0) rolled to their 900th victory in program history. The Buckeyes, playing in their second game without suspended coach Urban Meyer, piled up 579 yards after amassing 721 in the opener. at No. 5 Wisconsin 45, New Mexico 14: Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor rushed for 253 yards in 33 carries, both career highs, and matched a career high with three touchdowns. A.J. Taylor had a career-high 134 yards receiving for the Badgers (2-0), who have won 41 straight home nonconfere­nce games. at No. 21 Michigan 49, Western Michigan 3: Shea Patterson threw three touchdown passes in his Big House debut to help Michigan (1-1) bounce back from last week’s loss. at North Carolina State 41, Georgia State 7: Ryan Finley threw two touchdown passes, and the Wolfpack routed the Panthers. at Boston College 62, Holy Cross 14: AJ Dillon ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns in less than a quarter, and the Eagles beat old, in-state rival Holy Cross in the schools’ first meeting in 32 years.

at East Carolina 41, North Carolina 19: Freshman quarterbac­k Holton Ahlers ran for two of East Carolina’s four rushing touchdowns while Reid Herring threw for another score as the Pirates beat the Tar Heels.

at Syracuse 62, Wagner 10: Eric Dungey tied a school record by tossing five touchdown passes to pace the Orange to a rout of the Seahawks in their home opener.
