Douglas H. Winn went home to be with the Lord on Wed March 14th while surrounded by family in his Lockeford, Ca home.

He was born July 6, 1941 in French Camp, grew up in Manteca and graduated from Manteca High School.

He met the love of his life while attending High School. Sweetheart­s Doug & Loraine celebrated their 59th wedding anniversar­y last month.

Doug’s favorite hobbies included boating, trips to San Francisco and Yosemite. He also loved his hunting trips spent with his longtime friend Earl Watson.

Doug started his trucking experience working at Darwin Farms Egg Ranch when he was a senior in High School hauling eggs. In 1970 he started D.H. Winn Trucking. He loved having the trucking business and went from 1 truck to 74 over the next 35 years. He was a well respected member of his community, and had a passion for helping others. Doug had a special bond with his son, Russell who followed in his dads footsteps.

After retirement Doug & Loraine enjoyed traveling in their motorhome. They traveled to many states and spent time in Arizona during the winter.

He loved the Lord, and was a member of The Grace Church of Lockeford.

Preceded in death by parents William & Rachel Winn, son Ralph, & grandson Rodger Winn.

Survived by Spouse Loraine Winn, Son Russell Winn (Ellie) of Lockeford daughter Taylor Hill (Mike) Alabama, 9 grandchild­ren, 13 great grandchild­ren, Dougs brothers; Ivan (Gertie) Winn of Lockeford, Taylor (Betty) Winn of Arkansas, Don Winn, and Sister Esther Davis, Idaho.

Celebratio­n of Life Wed. March 21 at 11:00 Grace Church, 13301 Dawson Rd., Lockeford.
