BEST OF LAS VEGAS QUICK FACTS How did you choose the contestants?
We rely on our audience to supply us with the names of outstanding people, businesses and establishments in each of over 450 categories. Once the nominees are finalized, our audience is asked to vote on one choice in each category. Anyone can vote each day from August 29 through midnight, September 22, 2022.
What are the categories?
This year, there are 15 topic areas: Beauty & Fitness, Best of Nevada, Eat & Drink, Education, Entertainment, Health & Wellness, Home & Garden, Hotels & Casinos, Law, Living Local, Motors, Real Estate, Services, Shopping, and Things to Do.
Is this the same as Best of Nevada?
Best of Nevada is an expanded contest that has a focus for businesses in Nevada, but are not part of the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area.
Do advertisers of the Reviewjournal get special treatment?
Business associates and advertisers of the Las Vegas Review-journal, Las Vegas
Business Press, RJ en Español, reviewjournal.com, businesspress.vegas, and any other owner affiliated company are not given special treatment.
Is the presenting sponsor competing for votes?
No. The contest will not accept the presenting sponsor to be a current competitor. Sponsors of the main topic categories can be competitors.
Is everyone that is nominated on the ballot?
For a category to qualify for the ballot, there must be a minimum of five separate businesses that are competing for votes. Once a category is qualified, it will be balloted.
Do businesses pay to be on the ballot?
Businesses, organizations or individuals that are nominated by our audience will be placed on our ballot as they are verified. There is never a cost to be nominted, voted for or to win.
How are votes tabulated?
Nominations and votes are tabulated by a third-party. The Las Vegas Review-journal and the Las Vegas Business Press do not know the results of the contest until they are announced to the public.
The regular voting period began at 12:01AM, August 29 and ends at 11:59PM Pacific Time, Thursday, September 22, 2022.
Can I “write-in” a business during voting?
Ballots are closed ballot, however; late entries are considered by request, if the business qualifies and there is an established category.
All late entries must be received by Friday, September 10th. All late entries must be emailed for consideration.
When will winners be announced?
The names of the winners will be posted at Bestoflasvegas.com on Sunday, December 11, 2022. All winners will be honored in our Best of Las Vegas Magazine publishing in the Las Vegas Review-journal on Sunday, December 11, 2022. In the event of a tie in any category, more than one winner or runner-up may be awarded.
