DEBRA DICKINSON

-

Debra M. Dickinson, 63, of Las Vegas, formerly of Franklin Square, Long Island, New York, passed away suddenly June 28, 2018. She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Julie and Sonny Dickinson and her brother, Rusty. Debra didn’t just pass quietly through life. For over forty years, Debra was employed in the hospitality industry as a server and bartender both in New York and Las Vegas. From the early 1980’s to late 1990’s she worked at Dickinson’s Wharf, the family restaurant in Las Vegas. For the last 21 years her home has been with TPC Las Vegas Golf Club. She made an impression on nearly everyone she met. She brought laughter to any situation. She never knew a stranger. She was someone with the unique ability to make the person she was talking with believe he or she was the most important person she’d see that day. She was a bigger-than-life person. She could keep a crowd entertained, had a marvelous sense of spirit and the ability to tell a tale. Debra was blessed with a very large family and extended family. They were her pride and joy. She will be forever loved and missed by her sister, Kathleen "Cookie" Kennedy; brothers, Richard and Ralph Dickinson; uncle, James Berardi; cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and countless extended family and friends. Her love for every member of her family, close and extended, meant everything to her. Many of her friends and family call her, "The hostess with the mostess" as she loved to gather family, friends, neighbors and co-workers together, often for meals and celebrations. Life will never be the same for many without her in our lives. Debra will be missed by all and her life’s example will remain with us forever, shining with hope, decorated with smiles and laughter, and warmed with love. A Celebration of Debra’s life will be held at 7 pm, Monday, July 9, 2018, at TPC Las Vegas golf club.
