¿NO TE GUSTARON LOS MENSAJES DE VIDEO DE WHATSAPP? ASÍ PUEDES DESACTIVARLOS

Whatsapp will soon let users disable Instant Video Messages

- BY TECH DESK

Whatsapp is getting a new toggle that lets users disable the recently introduced 'Instant Video Messages' feature.

Whatsapp recently introduced a new feature that allows users to send and receive short video messages. Dubbed ‘Instant Video Messages’, it works similar to how you share voice messages and lets users send a short video message at the press of a button.

But it looks like the functionality is bothersome for some users since it uses the same button used to send audio messages, with users complaining they were accidentally sending video messages. As it turns out, Whatsapp has taken into consideration user feedback and is testing the ability to disable the functionality.

According to a report by Wabetainfo, the latest Whatsapp beta includes a toggle that lets users quickly disable ‘Instant Video Messages’. After turning off the toggle, the microphone icon that resides at the bottom right of the screen switches back to its default behaviour, which lets users quickly share voice notes. However, turning off the toggle does not prevent others from sending you a video message.

To disable ‘Instant Video Messages’,

open Whatsapp and tap on the three-dot menu that appears on the top right of the screen. Now, head over to the app ‘Settings’ and navigate to the ‘Chats’ section. Here, you will @nd a toggle named ‘Instant Video Messages’. Turning it off will disable the functionality.

The ‘Instant Video Messages’ is currently limited to those on Whatsapp for IOS 23.18.1.70 and on Whatsapp for Android 2.23.18.21 and will be arriving to the stable version in the coming days, so it might take some time before the toggle is available on your phone.
