The following is a compilatio­n of informatio­n taken from the daily activities logs at the Bishop Police Department and the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department. Since most cases have yet to be adjudicate­d, all charges should be considered allegation­s.

June 24

1:40 a.m. – Be-on-thelookout. Suspect vehicle in a catalytic converter theft out of Mammoth Lakes. Silver Acura SUV. Unknown Nevada plate, vehicle has right front end damage and a loud exhaust. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

11:43 a.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/ person/vehicle, occurred at S. Third and Clarke streets. Black car, windshield busted, male subject spaced out listening to music. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

2:26 p.m. – Animal call, occurred at a bakkery on N. Main Street. Cat inside of a red Ford Explorer. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

2:48 p.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/ vehicle, occurred on Ranch Road. Suspicious phone call, scam requesting $9,800. Reporting party talked to him for a while and realized it wasn’t her grandson. On her phone it showed his caller name he said, “I’m in real trouble grandma.

I got a DUI and I have to have this money.” Dispositio­n: Log note only.

6:58 p.m. – Battery, occurred at a restaurant on N. Main Street. Female threw a drink at caller then left the drive-thru in a white truck, unknown which direction she went. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

8:15 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at a lodging on E. Elm Street. Appears to be some sort of conflict at the pool, female was yelling and appeared to throw a glass bottle into the street. Individual­s are still at the pool. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

8:55 p.m. – Attempted burglary, occurred at a trailer park on Short Street. Neighbor watching house and observed someone going in and no one is supposed to be there. Reporting party advising possibly resident’s kids, not sure. Unable to tell if male or female and unknown descriptor­s. Dispositio­n: Unfounded.

June 25

1:37 a.m. – Attempted burglary, occurred at a mini storage on E. South Street. About three individual­s attempting to break into the storage units. One male approximat­ely 6’03’’ black hoodie, short female 5’03’’ and other individual caller can’t see. No other descriptio­ns or further on location. Dispositio­n: Unfounded.

2:42 a.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred on W. Elm Street. Tow truck driver dropping off a vehicle on the street next to the apartment complex. They are making a lot of noise and everyone in the complex is awake. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

11:10 a.m. – Petty theft, occurred on Short Street. Male took her phone. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

1:08 p.m. – Animal call, occurred at a restaurant/ saloon/gift shop on N. Main Street. White F250 crew cab, windows onequarter of the way down. Dispositio­n: Code 4.

2:57 p.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/ vehicle, occurred on May Street. Reporting party concerned about a blue car, possibly a Honda or Toyota parked in the middle of the street. Reporting party stated it may be involving drug activity and kids. Unknown further or how old the kids are. Dispositio­n: Cited.

2:57 p.m. – Assist other agency, occurred on N. Winuba Lane. Sheriff’s office requesting assistance with a disturbanc­e between two females near fifth wheel. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

4:12 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at a supermarke­t on N. Main

Street. Lady in front of business yelling at customers, heading towards the fuel station and now closer to 395. Blue shirt and wheeling an ice chest. Dispositio­n: Cited.

6:57 p.m. – Hit and run, occurred at a grocery store on N. Main St. Toyota Sequioa with utility trailer was hit - brown Tahoe with front bumper and side damage left the scene. Dispositio­n: Report taken.

7:18 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at retailer on N. Main Street. Lady sitting on ice chest on Main Street yelling and cussing at people. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

June 26

1:29 a.m. – Burglary, occurred at a mini storage on E. South Street. Two people, male and female on bike, closest to the road. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

7:37 a.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/ vehicle, occurred at a gas station on N. Main Street. Underage female possible being trafficked as a prostitute. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

7:57 a.m. – Assist other agency, occurred on N. Tu Su Lane. Verbal disturbanc­e between male and female. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

8:11 a.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/ vehicle, occurred on Short Street. At 6:30 a.m. this morning a male subject opened caller’s front gate, walked in yard, let his dog run around for a few minutes, man stooped down on his knees to tell the dog he was a good boy and left west on Short towards Second Street. Dispositio­n: Warning (verbal).

9:54 a.m. – Any civil problem, occurred on Highland Drive. Caller’s husband bought daughter’s ex boyfriend a phone. They had a disagreeme­nt and the husband disconnect­ed the phone line. The ex boyfriend consistent­ly calls the cell carrier, acts like the account holder and gets the phone line connected again. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

11:04 a.m. – Lodge without consent, occurred at closed department store on N. Main Street. Owners of the former business have tasked caller with moving the homeless out of the parking lot and he would like to know what the options are. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

11:20 a.m. – Assist other agency, occurred on Gerkin Road. Ambulance backed up into a vehicle at the stop sign. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

1:15 p.m. – Suspicious circumstan­ces/person/ vehicle, occurred at a park on N. Main Street.

Ford F250 with long trailer, a bunch of equipment spread out on the grass. Two men washing dishes in the creek. Dispositio­n: Log note only.

3:59 p.m. – Assist other agency, occurred on N. Winuba Lane. On going threats starting last night from Brockman to casino. Reporting party had phone on speaker while male threatened to break all the windows out of her house. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

4:32 p.m. – Vehicle fire, occurred at Highway 395 and Mill Creek. Possible vehicle fire, smoke visible, large silver truck towing a large camper trailer showing in the Mustang Mesa area. Vehicle is now pulled over on northbound 395, eight miles south of Tom’s Place. Smoke billowing from the right side of camper, unknown if wheel or camper itself. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.

5:48 p.m. – Disturbanc­e, occurred at N. Main and Grove streets. Women attacking each other outside of their car. East of Main Street. They were fighting while someone was hanging outside the vehicle. Dispositio­n: Gone on arrival.

6:28 p.m. – Battery, occurred at a hospital on Pioneer Lane. Patient in emergency room, victim of an assault. Dispositio­n: Referred to other agency.
