Larry Allen Jackson, aged 76, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023. He was born on March 5, 1947, in Houston, Texas, and was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfathe­r, family member and friend to many.

Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 56 years, Nora B. Jackson. He is also survived by John (Johnna), J.W. and son, J.J., Christina, Rachel, Hannah, Joshua (Melanie) Gabriel, Tyler, Zander, Jordan, Adeline, Charlotte, Kameron, Khalie, Kennedi, Kelli, Lori, Thomas (Bre), Kayla, Steve (Phaedra), Wyatt, Justin, and Peyton. Larry’s passing is also mourned by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Martha Jackson. Larry was also survived by a loving host of additional family members, all of whom brought him immense joy and happiness.

Larry was the youngest child of Robert and Martha Jackson, and he is preceded in death by them both, as well as his brothers, Wyatt and Rodney Jackson, and his sister, Julia Palmer. Their memory will be forever cherished by those who knew him.

Larry graduated from Milby High School. Following his graduation, and marriage to his beloved wife, he dedicated himself to serving his country in the US Navy. Larry’s commitment and bravery in the military were a testament to his character.

After his military service, Larry pursued a career in the grocery industry. He worked diligently and made a lasting impact to his colleagues and the community he served.

In his leisure time, Larry found joy in his hobbies, which included fishing, hunting, working on cars and spending quality time with his family and friends. His love for those activities was surpassed only by his love for family.

A private memorial service will be held in Larry’s honor, followed by a Celebratio­n of Life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributi­ons be made in Larry’s honor to the American Cancer Society. Your generosity will support their mission and continue the fight against cancer.

Larry Allen Jackson will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His unwavering love, dedication and kindness will forever be remembered and cherished.
