Tulsa update: Golden Hurricane are coming off open date. Before that, Tulsa snapped a five-game losing streak with a 34-31 win over Central Florida on Nov. 8 ... Three losses have come down to late in the fourth quarter (Memphis, Cincinnati) and triple overtime (SMU). … Houston represents the first opponent with a losing record at the time that Tulsa has played this season. The previous 10 opponents are a combined 68-31, a .687 winning percentage, and eight are bowl eligible. … QB Zach Smith (left knee) likely will be a game-time decision. If he cannot play, Seth Boomer will get the start. LB Cooper Edmiston leads the AAC with 86 tackles. CB Reggie Roberson II is tied for first with four intercepti­ons and DE Trevis Gipson is sixth with seven sacks. … RB Shamari Brooks needs 178 yards to reach 1,000 for the season.
