Lisbeth Jane Miner, a muchl oved sister, aunt, great- aunt and friend passed away surrounded by her family on March 25, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital f ollowing a brief i l l ness.

Born i n Hartford on June 2, 1948, she was the daughter of t he l ate Francis E. and Helen ( Straub) Miner and lived in Manchester and West Hartford. Jane was a proud member of the Harc family, which provided many opportunit­ies for her to live a rich and f ulfil l i ng l i f e. Her artistic skills were encouraged, and she had a deep love of music. She was always offering to help whether it was folding socks, putting dishes away or j ust cleaning up. Jane enjoyed an unequalled collection of cookbooks and needed l i t t l e encouragem­ent in identifyin­g a recipe she wanted to try. She was always up for the next adventure, rarely turning down t he chance t o go out f or a r i de t o t he store, t o church, or just to see the sights! Most importantl­y she greeted everyone with her sweet smile, and she touched the lives of so many with her kind and generous spirit. Jane i s survived by her sister and brother- i n- l aw, Patrice and Robert Calnen, with whom she made her home i n West Hartford. She also l eaves her nephews, Nicholas and his wife Jennifer of Darien and Gregory Calnen of West Hartford; her great-nieces, Addison, Grace and Lily of Darien; her extended Miner family, Susan Lyons, David Miner, Deborah Miner and Sara Slitt; her extended Calnen family, Larry Miclette and his children of Glastonbur­y. Jane’s f amily will be f orever grateful t o the staff at the Comprehens­ive Women’s Center at St. Francis Hospital, which took such l oving care of her throughout her 16-month battle with breast cancer. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 6th at 10:00 am at St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant Street, West Hartford. Family and friends may call at the John F.
