Gormley III, John P.(Jack)

John P. (Jack) Gormley III, 75, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, on July 11, 2021. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all. Jack was a graduate of Wethersfield High School and enlisted in the US Navy at 17. Jack went on to work in the banking industry and later in Sales for Charles Chips, Eagle Snacks and Wise. His jobs allowed him to make friends wherever he went. Jack was the life of the party, a storyteller and always up for a game of cards, darts or hanging at the Elks Club, but nothing made him happier than spending

time with his loving family and friends. Jack's favorite pastime was swimming with all the kids at Lake Hayward and Cape Cod.

He leaves behind the love of his life and wife of 52 years, Joyce (Pellerin) Gormley, his daughter Dawn Schroeder and her husband Eric of VT, and his son John Gormley

of West Hartford. Jack was the proudest Grandpa and Poppa in the world and never missed a game or activity of his grandchildren, Ella, Isaac, Hayden and Winnie. He will also be greatly missed by his sisters, Elizabeth Hoyt,

Patricia Lozinski and her husband James, his brotherin-law Bill Pellerin and sister-in-law Fran Pellerin, his nieces, nephews, cousins and so many amazing friends. Friends and family may call on Saturday July 24, 2021
