Pauline Murphy Neyer, of Middletown, CT, passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 peacefully with family at her side. She was born at home on April 19th, 1931 to the late James and Claire (St. Louis) Murphy. She had a largerthan-life personalit­y exemplifie­d by her legendary birth weight of 14 lbs.! She was raised in the “Frog Hollow” section of Hartford and attended Hartford High School. She honed many life skills in the workplace and was employed with Phoenix Mutual, Rice-Davis, then Pratt & Whitney, as well as EIS Automotive in Middletown where she met the love of her life, Raymond to whom she was married for 33 years.

Pauline was a skilled and avid craftspers­on, owning her own business for several years while volunteeri­ng for Middlesex Hospital's Cancer annual Survivors Day gala as well as St. Pius X Catholic Church annual fair, where she was a parishione­r, and at St. John's Catholic Church fairs. Pauline loved camping and bringing her children and grandchild­ren on “mystery rides”. She genuinely liked people, treated everyone as a friend and never hesitated to offer help when needed to her Stoneycres­t neighbors where she lived for the past 22 years. She seldom missed a bingo game and played often at Foxwoods. She loved traveling and spending time with her “Merry Widows” group. She also was an avid fan of the Red Sox and UCONN basketball.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Raymond J. Neyer, step-children Raymond Jr, Gerald, Richard and Constance Neyer; two brothers, Arthur Murphy (Shirley), Cornelius Murphy (Theresa) and brother-inlaw, Salvatore Celani.

She leaves behind her sister, Jeanette Celani of Rocky Hill, a brother, Jim Murphy (Mary Ann) of Newington; her son, Kevin Neyer (Daneane), of Cornish, ME; granddaugh­ters Kayleigh and Meghan Neyer; step-sons, Ronald Neyer (Elizabeth) of Windsor, CT; George Neyer (Karen Wood) of Cheshire, CT; grandchild­ren Ronald R. Neyer Jr., (Jessica), Tracey Neyer, Jordan Neyer (Tia), George Henry Neyer (Holly), and Drs. Marie Brock (Matthew) and many great grand-children, nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 24th, at 11:00 am at St Pius X Catholic Church, 310 Westfield Street, Middletown.
