A look at some of the top performanc­es in Week 1:

Emilee Bishop, East Haven: The senior has hit three home runs while going 3-0 on the mound with 19 strikeouts in 18 innings pitched.

Kaleigh Bodak, Haddam-Killingwor­th: Four of Bodak’s six hits went for extra bases including a home run, but it has been her pitching that has dominated for H-K. She is 5-0 with a 0.24 ERA, striking out 49 batters in 29 innings pitched.

Alyssa Colangelo, Holy Cross: The senior captain has had multiple hits in all four games. She is currently 10-for-16 (.625) with four extra base hits (one HR) and nine RBIs.

Jillian Guilfoyle, St. Joseph: The sophomore is batting .500 in the early going and went 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and four runs scored against Sheehan.

Lilly Kenny, Cromwell: Kenny, 5-0, currently leads the state in strikeouts (56) over 31 innings pitched. Kennedy has allowed just two earned runs for a .45 ERA and has only walked two batters.

Sadie Klyver, Wilton: The sophomore has pitched 15 innings without allowing an earned run over three

games. She has 25 strikeouts and has allowed just five hits.

Madigan Lawler, Branford: The sophomore has only gotten out once in her two games played so far, going 6-for-9 (.857) with 10 RBIs.

Anna Leone, Shelton: In Shelton’s 5-1 win over (at the time) No. 9 Cheshire, Leone hit two home runs and drove in three runs.

Alex Lewey, Fairfield Ludlowe: Became the first pitcher since 2019 to get a win against Masuk, and followed up that opening day performanc­e by allowing just one hit in her next eight innings over two games for the freshly minted No. 1 team in the state.

Haley Pucci, Danbury: Is 3-0 with a 0.33 ERA. Pucci has 48 strikeouts in 21 innings while allowing just one run on a solo shot. She also is hitting .545 with a home run.

Sam Sosnovich, Woodland: Sosnovich is batting .667 (6-for-9) with two home runs and two doubles while pitching 14 innings of one-hit ball with 29 strikeouts and no runs allowed. She threw a no-hitter in Woodland’s 11-0 win over Oxford.

Chloe Trimandili­s, Danbury: Through the first four games of the season, Trimandili­s is 8-for-13 with two home runs and eight RBIs.

Lauren Wasikowski, St. Joseph: Threw a complete game one-hitter on opening day with 15 strikeouts to defeat Sheehan 8-0 and came back out with a no-hitter against Newtown with 14 strikeouts in her second start.

Gabby Yamoah, Immaculate: Opened the season with a 6-for-11 week, driving in seven runs while scoring five and slugging a home run.
