The Connecticut Sun game against the Los Angeles Sparks Tuesday at the TD Garden is Boston is sold out.

It’s the first WNBA game ever played in Boston.

“We are thrilled with the reception from the Boston market for our game at TD Garden. It’s truly special to make history by hosting the first ever professional women’s basketball game in this arena, known for its incredible basketball prowess and championship culture,” Sun President Jen Rizzotti said in a release. “This is a tremendous opportunity to expose the Connecticut Sun brand by playing a game more centrally located to our New England fan base. Women’s sports are here to stay, and this is a wonderful celebration and confirmation of that fact.”

Connecticut’s 19,156 tickets sold marks the sixth sell out of the 2024 season, the third highest attendance to a WNBA game this season, and the largest number of tickets sold to a Connecticut Sun game in franchise history.

The Sun will face former coach Curt Miller, who left the franchise to become the Sparks head coach. Connecticut has faced LA once this season, beating the Sparks 79-70 in Uncasville.

“We’re thrilled that our first-ever WNBA game at TD Garden, featuring the Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks, has sold out,” said Glen Thornborough, President of TD Garden and COO of the Boston Bruins in a release. “This remarkable turnout showcases Boston’s deep support for women’s professional basketball and our vibrant sports scene. TD Garden broke attendance records with the first-ever Dunkin’ Women’s Beanpot earlier this year, and we are proud to keep the momentum and immense support of women’s sport going.”

The game will place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at TD Garden.
