JILLIAN INSISTS LIZZO IS TOO FAT FOR OWN GOOD
Won’t back down in body shame scandal
FITNESS freak Jillian Michaels is refusing to back down after being accused of fat-shaming roly-poly rapper Lizzo.
The 47-year-old former Biggest Loser coach triggered the brouhaha by whacking the 308-pound singer for flaunting her flab but still insists she was right to do it.
“Obesity is just unhealthy. That’s it,” she declares.
Her only regret is that jelly-belly Lizzo’s name was brought into it.
“I would like to separate her from the issue, if at all possible,” says the muscle machine.
“The first time I was asked, I should have said, ‘Let’s separate an individual from a conversation about health.’
“That is genuinely where I went wrong. That is literally the only place that I will tell you that I went wrong if the conversation is about celebrating obesity.”
At five-foot-ten, 33-year-old Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, boasts about her 48-32-54-inch mountain of love and shows off her full figure in revealing bathing suits.
That’s too much for health guru Jillian, who in January 2020 slammed the Cuz I Love You singer, saying: “Why are we celebrating her body? Why does it matter?
“’Cause it isn’t gonna be awesome if she gets diabetes.”
Jillian points out: “Seven out of ten Americans are on medication for obesity-related diseases,” and “obesity is the top contributor to mortality over anything else going on in the world.”
That’s why she refuses to fully apologize to the doughy diva.
“When you are an expert in a category, you have a responsibility to tell the truth,” she says. “Whether it makes you popular or not.”
