Arvin K. Nelson Jr., 53 of El Dorado, Arkansas passed away May 8, 2022 at his residence in El Dorado, Arkansas. Arrangemen­ts for funeral service will be announced by Sims Mortuary,

REMINDER OF SERVICE JULIA LYNNE BURTON

Julia Lynne Burton, passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 63, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am today at College Avenue Church of Christ. A private family burial will be under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to Lifetouch Hospice of El Dorado in memory of Julia Burton.

CHARLES ALEXANDER ROWLAND

Charles Alexander Rowland of Huttig, AR departed this life on May 3, 2022, at the Lifetouch Hospice in El Dorado, AR

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Mt. Olive AME Church in Huttig, AR.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 on Friday May 13, 2022 at the Mt. Olive AME Church.

Burial will follow in the Batts Chapel Cemetery in Huttig, AR. under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.

OBITUARIES PINKIE BELL ALLEN

Pinkie Bell Allen was born on December 23, 1922, in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was the 3rd child born to Willie and Pinkie Fields.

Pinkie Bell and Othan Allen were married in 1954 and stayed married until he died in 1981. They had two daughters, Janice and Audrey Denise, a son/grandson Mario Moody, a great-grandson, Christian, and three grandchild­ren.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and attending church activities. She had a passion for learning and was a lifelong student of her profession.

She is survived by her sister Minnie Mae Curley, brother Mark L. Fields, daughters Audrey Denise Harris, Janice Bush, son/grandson Mario Moody (Germaine), one great-grandson, three grandchild­ren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Othan Allen, and sisters Dauthula McClinton, Marcellean Toliver, and Marcela Humphrey. And brothers Willie Fields Jr., James Fields Sr., and Lotrice Fields Sr.

She was loved by family and many friends.

Funeral Service Services Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.at First Baptist Church Cordell. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

ROBBIE TINE BOONE

Robbie Tine Boone was born September 6, 1952, to Robert and Earnestine Boone in El Dorado, AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sister, Mary Boone, Brother, Dorris Williams, Son, Quentin Nelson, Nephew, Kevin Williams, Maternal Grandparen­ts, Jesse and Mary L. Cooksey, Paternal Grandparen­ts, Sye and Lizzie Rogers Boone.

Robbie accepted Christ at an early age where she became a member of the Mt. Willie Baptist Church. She departed this life on Thursday, May 5th, 2022.

She attended Parkers Chapel High School. After school, Robbie wore many hats in life. She worked for Country Pride, SWADC, Wendy’s, Community Living Arrangemen­ts, and Superior Senior Care. Robbie was also an ordained minister, and a notary public. Robbie touched so many lives and the best way she knew how was through everyone’s stomach. She loved to cook! She loved cooking for her family, friends, doctors, and nurses. She was very gifted in the kitchen.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her daughter, Robbye (Freddie) Hicks of El Dorado, AR; Son, Billy Junior of Benton, AR; (3) Brothers, Ricky (Sandra) Boone of El Dorado, AR, Lawrence Boone of Vidalia, Louisiana, Alfred (Elizabeth) Boone of El Dorado, AR; Sister, Rosemary Reynolds of El Dorado, AR; Aunt, Jessica Boone of El Dorado, AR; (4) Grandchild­ren, (4) Great Grandchild­ren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nephews; (3) Special Friends, Lessie Richardson, Marcus Smith, and Rhonda Voss. Robbie will truly be missed by a host of relatives and friends.

Homegoing services will be held Sunday, May 15th, 2022, at St. John Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR, at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Mt. Willie Cemetery in El Dorado, AR, under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Bishop Reginald Parker, Eulogist.

Visitation will be Saturday {May 14th}, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at St. John Baptist Church, 1018 E. Wilson St., in El Dorado, AR.
