NOTICE OF PASSING BETTY WADE

Betty Wade 68, of El Dorado, AR., passed away March 23, 2022 at Arkansas Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR. Arrangemen­ts for funeral service will be announced by Sims Mortuary, Inc.

OBITUARIES TITUS ARNOLD

Titus Arnold was born December 31, 1945 in Keo, Arkansas to Garner Cleveland Arnold and Josie Lou Gillard— Arnold.

He accepted Christ at an early age. When he moved to El Dorado, he became a member of Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church

On November 8, 1990, he married Effie Maddox—Arnold. To this union two children were born: Chloe and Rachel Arnold.

Titus was proceeded in death by his parents and three brothers: Emmit, Robert, and Jimmy Arnold.

Titus leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife: Effie (El Dorado, AR), two daughters: Chloe and Rachel (El Dorado, AR), one son: Marvin (Nina) Rohm (Hattershei­m, Germany), three bonus children: Julia Rohm (Dietzenbac­h, Germany), Brandon (Jessica) Maddox (El Dorado), and Brittany Maddox. One brother: James (De’Nita) Arnold (Cabot, AR), two furry friends: Zoey and Denver, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Walk through visitation Friday March 25, 2022 2-5pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral Service Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church; Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. WALTER EVANS JR.

Walter Evans Jr. was born February 24, 1950, in Lisbon, LA, to Walter Evans Sr. and Louria Mc Celland Evans.

Walter attended Rosenwald High School in Junction, City, AR. After high school, he enrolled in a technical college to become a painter. Upon completion of technical college, he moved to California to pursue his career as a painter.

Walter departed this life on Monday, March 21, 2022, in Benton, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Louise Daugherty and Gladys Canada. He leaves to cherish his memories his son Keith Evans and his daughter Ayiani Evans both of Los Angeles, CA. Two grandsons Keith Evans II, Keith Evans III, two granddaugh­ters, Jasmine Hawkins and Capria Branch, and one great-granddaugh­ter Bella Evans all of Los Angeles, CA. Four sisters, Joyce Hicks (Randy) of El Dorado, AR, Dorothy Furlow of Inglewood, CA, Lena Clark of Sherwood, AR, Inez Grayes of El Dorado, AR, four nieces, and four nephews and twenty-two great-neces and nephews.

SISTER FLORENCE ELLEN CREW HART

Sister Florence Ellen Crew Hart was born in the Old Hillsboro Community to Joe W and Lizzie T. Crew on October 5, 1933.

Florence united in holy matrimony to the late Jackson Hart.

Florence accepted Christ and was baptized at Old Hillsboro Baptist Church. She later united with First Saint James Baptist Church, she was a faithful servant and member of The Golden Pioneer Choir.

Florence worked many jobs, but the one job she truly loved was working with Dr. Ballard as his chair side dental assistant.

She transition­ed on March 16, 2022. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4brothers; L.B., J.C., Roosevelt, J.K., 6 sisters; Alto, Bessie, Mildred, Ella Mae, Marie, Betty Jo., one great grandson Samaki Rodgers.

She leaves; four sons Johnny Ray Gill (Kathy), Jerry Dean Gill (Betty), LaDarius Hart (Tyana), and bonus son, Ralph E. Williams; Three daughters Betty Woods (J.T.), Patricia Warren Buggs, and Carolyn Hart (Robert), 14 grandchild­ren Gabriel Harris, Shanda Kesee, Penny Hoosier, Trisha Gill-Rodgers, Keith Woods (AKA Pooh), Jimmy Ray Gill (AKA Gulley), Charlie Buggs Jr., MaKishia Buggs-Heard, Chelsea Stewart, Marques Jamerson; Teresa Fitzgerald, Keith Woods, Lisa Woods, and Teresa Ben , 35 great-grandchild­ren, and 22 great great-grandchild­ren.

Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2:30 PM. Service to be held at First St. James Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR. Public Visitation Friday, March 25, 2022, from 3:00-4:00 PM only. Profession­al care entrusted to Andrews Funeral Home of El Dorado. Mask Required

PEGGY PERRY

Peggy Perry, 72, of El Dorado, passed away, Thursday, March 24, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1949 to Roger and Irma Cornish Metcalf in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Peggy was a receptioni­st at First Financial Bank for many years, before her retirement, and she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were parents; and brother, William Metcalf.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Frank Perry of El Dorado; brother, James Metcalf (Linda) of Little Rock, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Arlington Memorial Park with Rev. James Faith officiatin­g, and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Young’s.
