Golf and basketball events to be held

The L.C. & Hazel Ross Scholarshi­p Foundation will be hosting a pair of events on Friday, March 30. The first event will be a two-man scramble golf tournament at the Lions Club, beginning at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is a donation per team. Lunch will be provided to all participan­ts.

In the evening, the annual WHS/EHS Alumni Basketball Event will take place at Wildcat Arena. The games begin at 6 p.m. All basketball participan­ts are asked to make a team donation toward the scholarshi­p cause. Any and all WHS & EHS alumni during the L.C. Ross era are invited to participat­e in this years event (must be 40 or over to participat­e).

Immediatel­y following the game, there will be an alumni meet and greet at the VIP Loft at Murphy Arts District, located at 101 East Locust, from 9 p.m. until midnight. Admission is free. On Saturday, March 31, the benefit weekend will conclude with the Scholarshi­p Legacy Dinner Gala at Econo Lodge Convention Center, located at 1920 Junction City Road.
