A graveside service for Kerrell “Sonny” Ramsey, 79, of Junction City, will be 1 p.m. today at Crosslawn Cemetery in Wynne, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Randy Fredrick officiatin­g.

HERSCHEL W. WARD

Herschel W. Ward, 82, of Crossett, formerly of Strong, departed this life Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Little Rock.

Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 at the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church of West Crossett.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Home Service of Crossett.

Burial will follow in the Ward Chapel Cemetery of Strong.

Obituaries W. A. FOWLER

W. A. “Wildman” Fowler, 51, of El Dorado passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at his residence.

Born

June 6,

1965 in Camden, he was the son of Walter Americus and Judy Martin Fowler. Wildman was a truck driver and a veteran of the United States Army.

Preceding him in death were his father; a sister, Anita Fowler; and a brother, Robert “Roho” Fowler.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years; Lisa Fowler of El Dorado; sons, Walter Arvil Fowler (Christi) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Nashoba Fowler of Gonzales, Louisiana, and Dakota Allen Fowler (Jazmyne) of El Dorado; daughters, Cherrita Fowler (Jeremy) of Gonzales, Winona Fowler of El Dorado, and Brittany Bishop of El Dorado. Also surviving are a brother, John Lambert of El Dorado; step-brother, Artie Jones (Stacy) of El Dorado; and a sister, Dawn Simmermach­er of Smackover. Surviving grandchild­ren are Walter A. Fowler, Jace Leigh Fowler, Clayton and Cora Moran, Kassi and Kayla Villar and Bailey Nyala and Aiden Nyala; his stepfather and wife, Dan and Karrie Jones and his family of El Dorado; along with his mother, Judy Dison (Billy) of Smackover; special friends, Ray Echols, Tim Wells, Bruce Wayne Thurlkill and the American Legion Riders; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Young’s Chapel with cremation to follow.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

JACKIE GLOVER

Jackie Glover, 60, of El Dorado, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

He was born on

Nov. 10, 1956 in El Dorado, to Elmer and Helen Ross Glover.

Jackie was a 1975 graduate of El Dorado High School. He was a former employee of Lion Oil for several years and a member of First Baptist Church-Cordell.

Survivors are his step-mother, Bobbie Glover of El Dorado; special friends, Shirley Wilkins of El Dorado, and Carolyn Fleming of El Dorado; one sister, Portia (Mark) Cook of Clovis, New Mexico; and five brothers, Randy Glover of El Dorado, Frankye R. Ross of Dallas, Lonnie (Kath) Ross of Los Angeles, Arley Howard of Boston, Massachuse­tts and Johnnye R. Ross of Dallas.

Public visitation will be from noon until 4:30 p.m. today at Sims Mortuary.

JOYCE A. RUTLEDGE

Joyce Alyce Rutledge passed away at the age of 81 on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the John R. Williamson Life Touch Hospice House in El

Dorado.

Joyce was born

April 11,

1936 in Pasadena, California. She was the daughter of George P. Fleming and Alyce Truitt Fleming. She was raised in Southern California and graduated from Highland School of Nursing in Oakland, California, as a registered nurse. Joyce married Lee Roy Rutledge who was employed by the National Park Service. Together with their daughters, they traveled and lived in many National Parks throughout the United States where Joyce continued her nursing career in nearby local hospitals.

Lee Roy retired in 1976 and they moved to Marathon, Texas. Joyce was a night supervisor at the Big Bend Memorial Hospital in Alpine, Texas. She retired in 1998. When Lee Roy passed away in 2006, Joyce moved to El Dorado to be near her daughter, Linda and family. Her faith in Christ led her to join First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, where she very much enjoyed various church activities and missions. Joyce loved traveling, gardening and crafting.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and brother-inlaw, Bunkie Rutledge.

She is survived by her daughters, Marianne Rutledge of Plano, Texas and Linda Anderson (Alan) of El Dorado; brother, George Phillip Fleming (Gay Lynn) of Far West, Utah; brother-in-law, William Shacklefor­d (Isabel) of Marathon, Texas; sister-in-law, Carolyn Rutledge of Brackettvi­lle, Texas; and grandson, Kyle Anderson (Crystal), and their daughters of El Dorado.

Her family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the loving care she received from the Life Touch Hospice staff as well as all the support and prayers from friends and family.

Cremation arrangemen­ts were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors. Joyce will be laid to rest at a later date in Marathon, Texas, where her husband and other family members are buried.
