Jaguars surprise Bills for second win

Jacksonvil­le had the better Josh Allen on this Sunday, with the standout linebacker intercepti­ng a pass, making a sack and recovering a fumble in a 9-6 upset of the visiting Buffalo Bills (5-3).

Buffalo’s star quarterbac­k with the same first and last names turned over the ball three times, including twice in the second half. He completed 31 of 47 passes for 264 yards, with the two intercepti­ons and a fumble.

The first of two deciding moments came on a third-and-2 play at the Jaguars 37 with about 51/2 minutes remaining. Allen fumbled after getting pressured by Dawuane Smoot. The other Josh Allen recovered.

Buffalo got the ball back in the waning minutes and advanced to the Jaguars 39. But Smoot sacked Allen on third down. It was the fourth sack of the day for Jacksonvil­le (2-6).

Jaguars kicker Matt Wright, who missed three straight field-goal attempts in the third quarter, did have three field goals for all his team’s points, hitting from 39, 55 and 21 yards. RAVENS 34, VIKINGS 31, OT >> Justin Tucker kicked a 36-yard field goal with 16 seconds left in overtime to give Baltimore a home win over Minnesota.

The AFC North-leading Ravens (62) rallied from a 14-point third-quarter deficit.

They took a 31-24 lead on Le’Veon Bell’s 1-yard run with 3:29 left in regulation.

The Vikings (3-5) tied it on a 1-yard scoring pass from Kirk Cousins to Adam Thielen with 1:03 to play.

Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 120 yards on 21 carries. BROWNS 41, BENGALS 16 >> Baker Mayfield threw two touchdown passes, Nick Chubb ran for 137 yards and a score, and Cleveland (5-4), sparked by cornerback Denzel Ward’s early 99yard intercepti­on return for a TD, capped a chaotic week by smashing Joe Burrow and Cincinnati (5-4).

The Dolphins (2-7) and Texans (18) combined for nine turnovers. Miami had five, Houston four.

Brissett filled in again for Tua Tagovailoa, who missed the game with a finger injury on his throwing hand.

CHARGERS 27, EAGLES 24 >> Justin Herbert threw for 356 yards and two TDs and ran for a score, and Dustin Hopkins kicked a 29-yard field goal with 2 seconds remaining to lift Los Angeles (5-3) to the road win.

The Eagles (3-6) still haven’t won a home game in four tries under rookie coach Nick Sirianni.

Philadelph­ia’s Jalen Hurts fired a 28-yard TD pass to DeVonta Smith to tie at 24-24 with 6:07 left.

FALCONS 27, SAINTS 25 >> Matt Ryan hit Cordarrell­e Patterson for a 64yard gain with a minute to go, setting up Younghoe Koo’s 29-yard field goal as time expired, and visiting Atlanta (4-4) beat New Orleans (5-3).

GIANTS 23, RAIDERS 16 >> Xavier McKinney returned an intercepti­on 41 yards for a TD early in the second half and picked off another errant throw by Derek Carr late as New York (3-6) beat visiting Las Vegas (5-3).

PATRIOTS 24, PANTHERS 6 >> Mac Jones overcame two early turnovers and threw for 139 yards and a touchdown, J.C. Jackson returned one of three Sam Darnold intercepti­ons for an 88-yard touchdown and New England (5-4) defeated Carolina (4-5).
