ChristinaKnowles, director of development forGood SamaritanFoundation– Dayton, has been named to the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy(AHP) 40Under 40 list of honorees.
The 40 Under 40 program is designed to recognize future leaders within the healthcare philanthropy community. AHP is honoring these forty young professionals because they are shaping the future of the health care development industry.
Knowles joined the Good Samaritan Foundation in 2014. She has guided the Foundation through its transition to support the Miami ValleyHospital North campus and has touched and enriched the lives of countless patients and staffff throughout Premier Health.
Knowles grew up in Trotwood and said she considers it an honor to be able to work in and give back to the community that raised her.
The mission of Good Samaritan Foundation-Dayton is to enhance the health and well- being of the greater Dayton communities and the healthcare professionals who care for them. The Foundation provides philanthropic support for Miami Valley Hospital North, its employees, and for community programs, including Samaritan Health Center, Breast Cancer Patient Assistance and Mothers Empowered.
TheAssociationforHealthcare Philanthropy (AHP) is aninternationalprofessional organizationdedicatedexclusivelytodevelopment professionalswho encourage charity in health care organizations. AHP’s 4,500members representmore than 2,200 health care facilities around the world. They collectively raise more than $11 billion each year for community health services.
SinclairCommunityCollegehasbeenrecognizedasa 2020 ForbesAmerica’s BestIn-State Employer. Sinclair ranked #31 out of 100 Ohio employers making the list.
Forbes and Stati sta selected America’s Best-InStateEmployers based onan independent survey ofmore than 80,000 U. S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in their U.S. operations. The surveys were administered using a series of online panels and provide a representative sample of the U.S. workforce. Surveys were conducted on a rolling basis from October 2019 to May 2020.
Sinclair Community CollegePresident Dr. Steve Johnson said, “TheCOVID-19pandemic presented unique challenges in our continuing efffffffffffforts to provide high-quality and affffffffffffordable education to our students. Because of the dedication and innovative spirit of Sinclair’s faculty and staffffffffffff, we have successfully and safely continued to serve our students and prepare them for high- demand careers.”
All the surveyswere anonymous, allowingparticipants to openly share their opinions. The respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including safetyofworkenvironment, competitiveness of compensation, opportunities for advancement, and openness to telecommuting. Statista then asked respondents howlikely they’d be to recommend theiremployer to others.
