TV HIGHLIGHTS
Mysteries Decoded, 8 PM on Ch. 26: Jennifer Marshall, a U.S. Navy veteran turned private investigator, previously has had occasion to examine alleged evidence of the elusive creature known as “Bigfoot,” but as this newsmagazine opens Season 7, she teams up with cryptozoologist Andrew Sanford to scrutinize brandnew Bigfoot footage that has surfaced, this time from an official source.
The episode also updates previous interviews with eyewitnesses and experts in this field of study.
Movie: The Senator
Was Indiscreet, 8 PM on TCM: George S. Kaufman primarily is remembered as a playwright whose Pulitzer Prize-winning collaborations with Moss Hart still delight audiences today. In 1947, however, Kaufman stepped behind Hollywood cameras to direct his only film. The comedy stars William Powell, cast against type as a not-terribly-bright politician who decides to run for president.
Ella Raines co-stars as a reporter who wants to get a peek at the senator’s juicy private diary. The film airs as part of a “Summer Under the Stars” salute to Powell.

In the new “Firefighter’s
Ball Part 2,” as the dance continues to get progressively rowdy, things start to spiral out of control for the crew. Terry and Eddie (Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme) get stuck in an elevator, but that doesn’t stop them from fighting it out anyway. Ike (Gabriel Hogan) has his hands full when Andy (Eugene Cordero) knocks back a few too many drinks and gets pretty wild. Granny (Marcus Henderson), meanwhile, finds a way to cut the tension with his date.
