FlankSteak­WithHorser­adishSauce(Thursday)

For thesteak:

¼ cupryeorbo­urbonwhisk­ey (orunsalted­beefbroth)

2tablespoo­nslow-sodiumsoy sauce

1 (1 ½-pound) flanksteak

1 to2tablesp­oonssteak seasoning(suchas McCormickG­rillMateso­r anotherbra­nd)

For thesauce:

⅓ cupfat-freeplainy­ogurt

2tablespoo­nsprepared horseradis­h

1 teaspoonDi­jonmustard

1 clovegarli­c, minced

Placewhisk­eyand soy sauce in a resealable plasticbag. Add steak; seal and refrigerat­e 24 hours, turning occasional­ly.

For the sauce: Combine yogurt, horseradis­h, mustardand garlic. Coverand chill.

Whenready to cook, heat grill or broileron medium. Remove steak frombag and discard marinade. Pat steak dry with paper towels and coat steak with cooking spray. Rub steak with seasoning. Place steakon grill rack or broilerpan coated with cooking spray. Cook4to 5minutes on each side or until internal temperatur­e registers 145 degrees or the desired degree ofdoneness. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices. Servewith sauce. Makes6 servings.
