Richard E. Spranger, Sr., age 83 of Glen Mills, PA passed away on September 29, 2021 at home. Born in North Philadelph­ia and raised in Southwest Philly, Rich resided for the past 15 years in Fox Hill Farms

in Glen Mills, previously residing in Springfiel­d and Briarcliff­e, PA. Rich was the owner and operator of Spranger Manufactur­ing Company from 1972 until he retired in 2005, and previously worked and served his Tool and Die Apprentice­ship for The Budd Co. Rich graduated from West Catholic High School, Class of 1956, and served his country in the Marine

Corps. He was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church and a former member of Holy Cross, Our Lady of Fatima and St. Francis de Sales of Philadelph­ia. He enjoyed reading, walking, spending time with and caring for his family as well as working around his home and helping others. Rich loved Philadelph­ia sports and was

an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. In addition to his parents, Herman and Agnes (Horan) Spranger, Rich is preceded in death by his sister, Marie Gallagher. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Adele (Milligan) Spranger, four children, Rick Spranger, Jr., Stephen Spranger, Carol Mason (Michael) and Adele Vecchiolli (Mark), four grandchild­ren, Stephen, Madilyn and Melanie Spranger, and Philip Vecchiolli as well as many in-laws and nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 9:00-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00AM.
