GET THE POINT

To the persons who were outraged by the cartoonist who portrayed President Trump whistling as he passed a graveyard: You completely missed the point of the reference. To “whistle past the graveyard” suggests that a person is pretending to be confident and cheerful when he’s actually terrified of what may come. When you understand that, you will see that the cartoon is spot on!

MAIL IT IN

Hello, I’m reading in the newspaper and I’m listening to it on television that people are concerned about their mail-in ballots. What I did and I understand this legal take it to your local post office. They will stamp it for you. You can ask them for a copy of it. And your and your name in ballot is then sent to Media. I hope this helps some people. Thank you very much and remember to vote.

JUDGE NOT

Watching the confirmation hearings can get tedious but the Dems are showing their true colors. Dianne Feinstein is worried that Judge Barrett is determined to overthrow Roe V Wade and the ‘Hyde Amendment’, and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. Barrett’s answer? “I don’t have an agenda to over rule. Casey.” Even worse was Sen. Kamala Harris, who has accused the judge that she has an agenda due to her religion and wants to over throw the ACA. She said “that poses a threat to safe and legal abortions in our country.” Harris really showed her anti-American self. When Lindsay Graham asked is she would be able to shelve her personal beliefs to adhere to the law, she said, ‘I have done that.” This is an important constitutional process and even with half of them being Dumocrats and the other half Republicans, she is proving herself to be well qualified, deserving, and worthy!

RIDDLEWOOD KEN

SAY WHAT?

I have been listening to Joe Biden, and i”m confused. Is he running for President or The Senate?

It was a very gratifying experience for my wife and me to bring our mailin ballots to the drop-off box in Media. I was honestly surprised at the large stream of people walking towards the designated area by the courthouse and depositing their ballots directly into the collection box because they don’t trust the Trump-infested U.S. Postal Service. I know all of these people had to be Dems, because Trump-supporting Republicans would never vote using mail-in ballots. Too bad for them, because it’s so easy to vote multiple times using these ballots. I’ve given duplicate ballots to the illegals who work for our lawn service. To the seediest-looking people on the street, knowing they must be Biden supporters. When the votes in Delco are tallied, there will probably be 20 million votes for Biden because of all the voter fraud committed only by Democrats.

Thank you, Republican voters, for being as moral and as fair-minded as you have demonstrated yourselves to be over and over again during the past miserable four years. Maybe you should consider cheating next time, just as we Dems are doing.

IDEAS FOR FREIND

JB

Chris Freind has the right problem, but the wrong solutions. Three simple election reforms are in order. To begin with, change the general election day to the first Saturday in November. The current election day is based on the agrarian model of two centuries ago. It no longer takes two days after the Sabbath to get to the county seat to vote. Secondly, reapportion electors within states to represent the will of the electorate, as is done in Maine, which makes more sense than disenfranchising almost half of the voters, as occurs “winner take all” state. This reform does not require an Amendment to the Constitution, either. Finally, postpone the first primary elections until after Memorial Day. Our election season is too long. Additionally, primary debates should not occur until after Law Day, i.e., May 1. Six months is more than enough time to suss out who the candidates are. This is not rocket science.

I know for a fact that if a fly landed on my head I would feel it unless I was wearing a hat or a wig.
