Chester moves to online meetings through April
CHESTER » City government announced Wednesday that April city council meetings will be held online via livestream. The decision comes as the Wolf administration extends its stay-at-home guidelines through Monday, April 30. City hall will remained closed through at least that date.
Deliberative and regular meetings will be consolidated to Wednesdays April 8 and 22 at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively. Meeting agendas will be posted to the city’s website and Facebook page one day prior to each meeting.
Residents can submit public comments by phone or email. Any resident that does not have access to email can call in their public comment. Public comments are accepted by phone from the start of the regular meetings until they meetings are adjourned; call 610-937-1800.
Comments are accepted by email in advance between April 3 through 9:45 a.m. April 8 and April 16 through 9:45 a.m. April
22. Persons submitting public comment must include name and address; write Press Secretary Aigner Cleveland at acleveland@chestercity.com and include subject line “Public Comment Submission for April
8 Council Meeting” or “Public Comment Submission for April 22 Council Meeting.”
All public comments will be read into record during the meetings. Council members will respond to the comments if warranted. Comment received without the requested information or deemed inappropriate will not be read into record or accepted as an official submission.
