In addition to Player of the Year Riley Shaak of Notre Dame, the All-Delco volleyball team includes:

Maddie Donaphon, Notre Dame:

As the top libero in the county, Donaphon teamed with Shaak to lead the Irish to their seventh consecutive PAISAA title and ninth straight appearance in the Independent Schools final. She recorded over 1,000 digs in her career and was at her best in big matches. Donaphon had 31 digs as the Irish beat Villa Maria Academy for the first time in program history and dug out 27 balls in the 3-0 triumph over GA in the PAISAA final. Donaphon played in every set in her four-year career and will play collegiately at Northeastern University.

Sam Mann, Garnet Valley:

The 6-4 middle blocker was one of the most dominant hitters in the county over the last two seasons. Her mere presence changed the outcome of many a match. Mann pounded

262 kills, made 61 blocks and had a .437 hitting percentage to help the Jaguars win the Central League title for the fourth year in a row and the sixth time in the last seven seasons. Mann earned Class

4A all-state honors from the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association. She will continue her career at Jefferson University.

Meghan McCann, Archbishop Carroll:

Versatile is one way to describe the two-time AllDelco selection and three-year starter for the Patriots. She played setter and on the right side as a sophomore, and was used mainly as an outside hitter for the Patriots this season. Wherever she was on the court, she excelled and has the accolades to prove it. She earned All-Catholic and AllState honors for the second straight year after helping the Patriots to their fourth straight Catholic League title. McCann racked up a team-high 407 kills, 315 digs, 96 assists and 42 aces.

Bridget McGuinn, Cardinal O’Hara:

The sophomore outside hitter had one of the seasons in O’Hara history, and that’s saying a lot. An All-Catholic and All-State selection in Class 3A, McGuinn was the co-runner-up for MVP honors in the Catholic League with teammate Regan Hickey. She led the Lions in kills (226), aces (86, second-best in program history), hitting percentage (.370) and points scored

(326) to pace the Lions to their second straight District

12 Class 3A title and seventh in the last eight seasons. She had fourth-best single-match performance in program history in kills (19) and the third-best in aces (nine).

Paige Monastero, Archbishop Carroll:

If you had to use one word to describe Monastero, it would be “winner”. All the three-time All-State, two-time

All-Delco and two-time Catholic League MVP did during her four-year career was win, a lot. The Patriots went 59-1 against Catholic League competition during her career, 47-1 in the regular season and 12-0 in the PCL playoffs. Carroll also won four consecutive District 12 Class 4A crowns. Monastero racked up 382 kills, 185 digs, 25 aces and 16 assists as a senior and closed out her career as the program leader in kills (1,376). She also accumulated 1,082 digs, 147 aces and 86 blocks. She has committed to play at West Chester.

Hannah Roberts, Marple Newtown:

The 6-1do-it-all senior did not have the luxury of playing on one of the better teams in the county. The Tigers won just four matches, but that did not stop Roberts from opening more than a few eyes. She was a first-team All-Central selection and earned Class 3A All-State honors from the PVCA. A natural setter, Roberts played a variety of positions for the Tigers. Along the way she racked up 179kills,

152digs, 61assists, 55aces and

23blocks. She will continue her career at James Madison.
