Ann K. Tridemas,
94, of Lansdowne, passed away surrounded by her family on January 29,
2019.
She was the beloved wife of Edwin Velten.
Born in Chester on December 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Bruno and Theresa (Kunderman) Kersten; sister of the late Emma Robertson, Theresa Scott and Bruno Kersten. After attending Chester High, Ann graduated from the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art, (now University of the Arts). She worked in the administrative offices of the Upper Darby School District until her retirement in 1986.
An avid reader, Ann also enjoyed baking and cooking and loved the New York Times crossword puzzles. She was an accomplished quilter, with an artist’s eye for color and design. Her family members cherished her quilts in their homes.
She loved spending time with family and her quilting group.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Hilary Tridemas (Mark Lyons), of Wallingford, and Marta Williamson (Peter), of Philadelphia; and her son, Matthew Tridemas, of Lawndale, California; four grandchildren, Andrew Lyons (Marie), Walker Lyons (Stacie), Tessa Lyons and Mia Williamson; and three great-grandchildren, James and Abigail Lyons and Wesley Lyons.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 12th, at 11 A.M., at Duke Art Gallery, Community Art Center, 414 Plush Mill Road, Wallingford, PA.19086.
