Sadie Ann Thorp

Sadie Ann Thorp, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, to be with her husband Bob of almost 59 years, who left us just over 5 weeks ago. She was originally from Southwest Philadelphia and Our Lady of Loreto Parish and was a resident of Swarthmore, PA for almost 60 years. Sadie always put family first. She spent her life raising her children, shopping for bargains, being involved as a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes and spending time with her many friends.

Survivors: Sadie is survived by her children Bob (Janet), Peggy Ann Kinzly (Michael) and John (Lynne). Sadie is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Emily, Amanda, Katie, Nathaniel, Katlyn, Nicole, Annie, Rebecca and Michael. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Sadie Carbonara. Sadie was the sister of Mary Mottola, Tony Carbonara, Fred (Joan) Carbonara, Al (Nancy) Carbonara and the late Florence Triebl, Antoinette Conover and Giuseppina Carbonara.

Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday evening 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday 8:15-9:15 AM at D’Anjolell-Barone Memorial Home, 908 S. Providence Road, Wallingford PA. Funeral Mass: Her funeral Mass is 10:00 AM at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 950 Michigan Ave, Swarthmore, PA 19081 Burial: Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
