Robert T. (Bobby) Clark, III, age 80, of Upper Darby, PA passed away on August 18, 2017.

Born and raised in the Meadows Section of Philadelph­ia, PA, Bobby was the beloved son of the late Robert T. Jr. and Sarah E. Clark (nee Harding).

He was predecease­d by his beloved wife, Grace E. (nee Johnston) Clark, son Robert T. Clark, IV, and his dear sister Joan E. Gould.

Bobby was the loving father of Donald (Lori) Clark, Michael (Suzanne) Clark, Kimberly (Ray) Whoriskey, and James (Marcie) Clark. He was the proud grandfathe­r of Robert T. Clark, James J. Clark, and Courtney Grace Clark.

Bobby was employed by Allen Lane & Scott as a Four Color Pressman for 23 years. Additional­ly, he drove for the Evening Bulletin, where he also served as a Branch Manager. He was later employed by Upper Darby Township Department of Public Works as a Surveyor until his retirement in 1998.

Bobby played baseball for Tinicum in the Pendel League and was the League MVP in 1959. His talent led to a minor league tryout for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He moved his family into the Highland Park section of Upper Darby in 1971. Bobby became involved in the community and establishe­d a street hockey and basketball league for local youth at The Westview Playground in the early 1970’s.

He was involved in local politics, serving as a Voting Machine Operator for the Fourth District of Upper Darby for over 30 years.

Bobby later founded the Havertown Businessme­n’s Softball League and served as President for 10 years. He also coached the C&M Sporting Goods Team to multiple championsh­ips. Bobby was an avid Philadelph­ia sports fan and retained impressive knowledge of all the major sports, especially baseball.

He was a great family man who was devoted to both his children and grandchild­ren and especially loved Christmast­ime. He will be deeply missed.

Interment SS Paul Cemetery.
