Spots open for veterans in Springfield St. Patrick’s Parade
Delaware County Veterans Memorial invites veterans to ride in the Springfield St. Patrick’s Parade, held Saturday, March 11, on the Fizzano Float. Veterans may bring a guest. To register, send number of seats and military affiliation to artemisproductions@juno.com
Participants arrive at 10:30 a.m. at the township’s Memorial Park, located off on Springfield Road off of Baltimore Pike, and board the float at 11 a.m. The parade finishes at about 1 p.m. A hydraulic lift provides easy access to boarding the float. Attend Springfield School District meeting
SPRINGFIELD >> Springfield School District invites the public to the next update meeting for the Springfield High School Master Plan held at 7 p.m. March 28 at E.T. Richardson Middle School. District residents with questions on the master plan may submit them at www. ssdcougars.org/masterplan/ask
Over the past several months, the school district has worked with the township and our neighbors to understand and address the questions raised about the Springfield High School Master Plan at the planning commission meeting. From this mutual effort, the district has secured a newly designed plan, which it has labeled as Plan B.1. The plan represents a compromise between the district’s interests and those of the community.

Screening events at Crozer locations
Crozer-Keystone Health System hosts two free comprehensive screening events at Media Medical Imaging, 200 E. State St., on Saturday, March 25, and at CrozerKeystone at Broomall, 30 Lawrence Road, Broomall, on Saturday, May 20. These special events allow members of the community receive a range of screenings all in one place and at one time.
Screenings, information and walk-in appointments available (subject to change) are: Glucose/ cholesterol (fasting is required);
prostate PSA screening; breast exams; walk-in mammograms (please provide insurance information; Crozer-Keystone also has grant funding for those who may be uninsured); screenings for skin cancer, blood pressure, bone density, sleep disorder, podiatry (foot), and osteoporosis; and information about lung screenings and direct access colonoscopies.

St. Joes goes back to ‘60s
ASTON >> Knights of Columbus, Fr. James A. Donnelly Council, welcomes the British Invasion Years to Saint Joseph’s Parish, 3255 Concord Road, at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 25, for a tribute to the music of the 1960s. Doors open at 7. Ticket cost is $20. There is a cash bar and bar food is available for purchase.
The British Invasion Years open with classic songs by British groups including The Zombies, Moody Blues, Dave Clark Five and Herman’s Hermits, followed by the American musical responses of as The Monkees, The Turtles, The Mamas and the Papas and Tommy James and the Shondells. Their retrospective performance concludes with a tribute to the band that started it all, The Beatles.
