Ridley Township fall fest set for Sept. 18

RIDLEY TOWNSHIP >> The township hosts its annual Fall Festival, a free, familyfrie­ndly event for the whole community, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, on the grounds of the municipal building, MacDade Boulevard and Morton Avenue, Folsom.

The event features customary activities including the Ridley Township Library fall book and DVD sale, live entertainm­ent, handmade crafts, flea market, food court and more.

There is an auction of unclaimed bikes found throughout the township in 2015 at 10 a.m. Children’s activities include a moon bounce, moon bounce slide, kiddie train ride, face painting and balloon twisting available throughout the day. The magic of Dan Freed, “The Amazing Spaghetti,” begins at 11 a.m. Freed has been making kids laugh and have a blast since 1994. He is a full time profession­al children’s entertainm­ent specialist featuring magic shows, puppet shows with ventriloqu­ism, balloon twisting, party caricature drawing, strolling close-up magic.

South Jersey-based Beatles tribute band Revolve provide live entertainm­ent at 1 p.m. Dancers from Fireworks Dance Center perform at noon, followed by students from the ‘Delco Let There Be Rock School’ at 2.

Vendor spaces are available and reserved on a first come, first serve basis. To register for space, craft vendors may call Marilyn at the Ridley Township Library at 610-583-0593, and flea market vendors call Sheri from the Ridley Township Environmen­tal Advisory Board at 610-237-8048.

Santora holds senior expo

The event features more than 70 vendors representi­ng county and state agencies, as well as local businesses and nonprofits that provide valuable services to seniors. Admission to the expo is free, and includes a continenta­l breakfast and door prizes.

Davidson holds book bag giveaway
