Motorist who killed Nottingham man sought
WEST NOTTINGHAM » A 23-yearold Nottingham man who was struck by a vehicle earlier this month in a hit-and-run, has died of his injuries.
Nicholas Sullins, a 2015 Oxford Area High School graduate who was a chef with Corner Café, Jennersville, died as a result of the accident, state police at Avondale said. Police are still searching for the motorist who struck Sullins, a pedestrian. The motorist did not stop and fled the scene.
The crime occurred Aug. 6 at 1:41 a.m. at the intersection of Route 272 and Cemetery Road and Union Square Road in West Nottingham. When troopers arrived on the scene, they immediately provided first aid. EMS arrived and transported Sullins to Christian Hospital.
The patrol units and the Criminal Investigations Unit are working together to continue the investigation and have obtained several surveillance videos that were located in the area. Police said the footage is actively being reviewed and depicts several vehicles in that area prior to or just after the crash occurred.
Sullins received his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Culinary Institute of America, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He enjoyed music and had a lifelong passion for cooking.
He is survived by his parents; step-mother, Katie Sullins; four brothers, Chase Sullins, Dalton Sullins, Blake Sullins and Andrew Sullins; three sisters, Alyssa Sullins, Carlee Baruka and Chelsea Sullins; maternal grandparents, Paul and Judith Johnson of Oxford; and paternal grandmother, Betty Sullins of Reading.
