Event features country rock band

EAST BRADFORD >> 309 Express, a country-rock band based out of Glenside, will perform country and juke box classics at the East Bradford Summer Concert on Aug. 15.

Formed by wife/husband team Mary Duffy and Bill Gioioso, the five-piece band has been entertaining audiences in the Delaware Valley since 2009. A regular at West Chester renowned country dance establishment, the Brickette Lounge, the band will bring its unique blend of dance and sing-along favorites to a greater audience at the Jordan Amphitheater in East Bradford Park on Thursday, Aug. 15, from 7 p.m.to 8:30 p.m.

If you’re a fan of Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Emmylou Harris, Merle Haggard, then 309 Express is a must see. The band has been described as “a rousing eclectic rockabilly country-rock band” whose vintage country sound is reminiscent of early rock and roll, rockabilly, folk, and blues. Lead vocalist Mary Duffy brings to life the heart and soul of country and country rock.

Backed by the sounds of lead guitarist John Green, guitarist Bill Gioioso, bassist Bill Morrison, and drummer Dennis Jacoby, who also add their vocal talents, 309 Express is just a fun band to see in performance.
