Jerry L. Abrams, formerly of Kirkwood, PA
Jerry L. Abrams, 81, formerly of Kirkwood, PA died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Oak Leaf Manor South, Millersville, PA. Born in Chester, PA he was the son of the late Meyer and Naomi White Abrams.
Jerry was a retired school teacher, teaching both math and science in the middle school of the Oxford School District. He had also been employed as a bartender for various establishments.
He was an avid history buff, especially Gettysburg, and an animal lover. He was a member of Union Presbyterian Church. A veteran, he served his country in the US Army.
Surviving him are a sister, JoAnn Ryder of Palmyra; niece Tracy Evans (Chris) and Bob Vaughn; a niece Cindy Hersman (Andrew) and Bella and Benjamin; 3 stepchildren; 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at Union Presbyterian Church, 5637 Street Road, Kirkwood, PA on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00AM. A visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service. Kindly omit flowers.
