Orpha Black Diller of Honey Brook

Orpha Black Diller age 86, of Honey Brook for most of the past 22 years, formerly of Hanover, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. The past 8 months she had been a resident of Country Meadows in Lancaster.

Orpha was predecease­d by her loving husband Roger J. Diller in 2010 after 61 years of marriage.

Born September 1, 1930 in Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Naomi Kaltreider Black.

Formerly a member of Calvary Bible Church of Hanover and more recently a member of Twin Valley Bible Chapel of Narvon, she enjoyed ministerin­g in the choir and as a soloist in the services. She was involved in teaching in the children’s program at Calvary Bible Church for many years and has been a faithful supporter in both prayer and finances of many of the missionari­es sent from these churches. Orpha sewed custom draperies as a business for many years and was a skilled seamstress. She always had a vegetable garden and was productive in many ways. In these final years she made baby blankets for missions.

Most importantl­y, she was a loving wife and mother, dedicated to serving her family and the Lord.

Orpha is survived by the following family members: Deborah D. Hurter & husband Stephen of Honey Brook; Denise D. Hamme & husband Ronald L. presently living in Lancaster: Lorie D. Foucault & husband Pascal of Scottsdale, AZ; Dana L. Diller of Scottsdale, AZ; 8 grandchild­ren and 5 great grandchild­ren; brothers Merrill & Richard Black; sisters Ruth Warner and Dorothy Miller.

In addition to her husband, she was predecease­d by Sherilyn D. Schock, her oldest daughter, who died February 1, 2017.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service in celebratio­n of her life on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Twin Valley Bible Chapel, Route 23, Narvon. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 am until the service. Interment will be in the York Road Cemetery, Hanover at 3:30 pm.
